Brian M. Cook

Brian Cook's legal practice has been devoted almost exclusively to family law since graduating from Willamette University College of Law, cum laude, in 2007.  His primary focus has been family law litigation, but has also assisted in mediated and collaborative family law matters.

Mr. Cook's experience includes diligently and passionately representing clients with diverse social and economic backgrounds, and working for and against some of the top legal minds in the San Diego family law community.  He has litigated high asset, complex family law matters concerning traditional family law topics such as child and spousal support, property division, breaches of fiduciary duty, premarital agreements, and attorney's fees, but when relevant, also concerning criminal, tax, bankruptcy and contract law, as well as tracing and business organization issues.

Mr. Cook also has experience representing clients in high conflict child custody cases that have included neutral mediators, Evidence Code section 730 evaluators, reunification therapists, minor's counsel, court ordered child custody supervisors, Child Protective Services, the Department of Justice, and/or criminal investigating detectives.  Many of these types of cases have also involved domestic violence allegations that Mr. Cook has helped prosecute or defend.
