Laura Heyne focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Her commercial litigation experience involves representing individual and corporate clients in disputes over contracts and complex tort matters. Ms. Heyne employs a cost-effective approach to litigation matters by utilizing cutting edge technical programs available to litigators.
In addition, a significant portion of Ms. Heyne's practice focuses on insolvency matters. Specifically, she advises and represents debtors and creditors in business disputes, collections, foreclosures, and other insolvency matters, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings. Prior to joining Higgs Fletcher & Mack, she served as a judicial clerk with the Central District Federal Bankruptcy Court under the Honorable Victoria Kauffman.
Ms. Heyne received her J.D. from the University of San Diego, School of Law where she received the University Scholarship and served on the Journal of Climate and Energy Law. She has an undergraduate degree from University of California Santa Barbara in Political Science.
