A partner with the Firm, Michael Gibson serves as a civil litigator and concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, business litigation, and general tort liability defense with a specific focus on business versus business disputes involving contracts, real estate and insurance issues. In this capacity, Mr. Gibson brings practical advice, a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency in achieving efficient, effective and economical solutions for his clients.
Since 1998, Mr. Gibson's balanced practice has allowed him to represent local, national and international companies, owners (both public and private), developers, architects, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors, both as plaintiffs and defendants. He handles complex litigation involving a wide variety of commercial, construction and real estate matters through alternative dispute resolution, litigation and appeals, in both State and Federal Court. In addition, Mr. Gibson represents clients before the California Contractors State License Board, California Department of Real Estate and other administrative agencies.
Mr. Gibson also provides advice for construction clients from pre-construction through project completion, including contracting, licensing, bidding, compliance with prevailing wage laws, change orders, construction site accidents, payment and performance bond issues, and claims.
