Susan Moriarty Hack was admitted to the California State Bar and joined Higgs Fletcher & Mack in 1989. Ms. Hack became a partner in 1996. In 2001, Ms. Hack became a part of the Firm’s management when she was appointed as an Executive Partner. Ms. Hack is also the Firm’s partner in charge of firm education, which includes continuing legal education for all firm members, as well as associate training. In 2002, Ms. Hack was a recipient of the YWCA’s Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award. Since 2007, Ms. Hack has been named each year as a Business Litigation “Super Lawyer” from Southern California Super Lawyers (San Diego).
Ms. Hack practices general tort and business litigation, handling primarily business disputes, personal injury, premises liability, professional medical and business negligence, and product liability matters. She has received the highest rating available (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability.
Ms. Hack has served as a judge on moot court and mock trial competitions for the University of San Diego School of Law, and has been an instructor for the law school in a course entitled “The Practicum.” Ms. Hack has also been an instructor for CEB’s annual courses “Recent Developments in Tort Litigation” and “Use and Abuse of Interrogatories.” She also serves as an arbitrator for the San Diego County Superior Court. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Inn of Court and the American Inns of Court (Enright Inn). She currently serves as President of the San Diego Inn of Court.
