Marianne Barth has built a solid reputation as a passionate and tenacious advocate, both inside and outside the courtroom. She began her career in civil litigation as an associate and later as a partner at McInnis, Fitzgerald, Rees and Sharkey. In 1999, Ms. Barth joined Higgs Fletcher & Mack as a partner when the McInnis firm merged with Higgs Fletcher & Mack.
For over twenty years, Ms. Barth has handled complex litigation involving a wide range of matters, including business, health care, products liability and family law. She has represented physicians, hospitals and allied health care professionals in professional malpractice, licensing, regulatory and administrative matters. Her nutrition background as an undergraduate proved especially valuable in the defense of dietary supplement manufacturers she represented in product liability cases filed in both state and federal court. Ms. Barth has also handled significant family law litigation, where years of experience as a civil and business litigator have provided her with the necessary expertise to understand and successfully resolve the complex financial and emotional issues present in divorce cases. Ms. Barth has received the highest rating available (A-V) from Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability.
Ms. Barth is a graduate of Villa Maria College and California Western School of Law. She is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in California. She has successfully tried numerous jury trials to verdict and has tried several administrative law matters.
