Susan E. Basinger

Susan Basinger joined Higgs Fletcher & Mack as a partner in the Firm in 1999. She was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1987, and practiced in Ohio for two years in the areas of corporate, transactional, and securities work. She was admitted to the California bar in 1989, and is also admitted before two U. S. District Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She was formerly both an associate and, later, a partner with the law firm of McInnis, Fitzgerald, Rees & Sharkey. She is an experienced trial lawyer having tried nearly twenty cases to verdict.

Ms. Basinger is experienced in litigating fidelity bond and director and officer liability claims, including those arising out of failed savings and loan institutions in Southern California. Over the course of her career, she has acquired extensive experience in litigating complex business disputes, insurance bad faith coverage disputes, legal and medical malpractice actions, as well as claims alleging wrongful death, premises and products liability.

Ms. Basinger has received the highest rating (A-V) available for Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability.
