Sam G. Sherman

Mr. Sherman’s practice focuses on defending employment and personal injury litigation matters.  His employment practice concentrates on the defense of employers and individual defendants in all manner of employment disputes.  The types of claims Mr. Sherman has handled include:

1. Sexual Harassment (including same sex);
2. Discrimination;
3. Retaliation;
4. Wrongful Termination; and
5. Failure to Accommodate

Mr. Sherman has served as lead trial counsel in both jury trials and binding arbitrations.  Mr. Sherman tried three cases in 2008 and received two defense verdicts.  Those cases involved a claim for personal injuries and a claim for retaliation.

Mr. Sherman also specializes in education and public entity defense.  A significant portion of his practice involves defending school districts and other public entities.

Mr. Sherman has additional experience in the following practice areas:

3. construction defect
4. corporate formation
5. intellectual property

Mr. Sherman serves as co-chair elect for the Employment and Labor Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association for 2009-2011.  He has also been nominated as one of the top young attorneys by the San Diego Daily Transcript.

Mr. Sherman graduated in 1999 from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in policy studies.  Mr. Sherman received his juris doctorate in 2003 from the University of San Diego School of Law.
