M. Cory Brown
Since becoming associated with Higgs Fletcher & Mack in 1984, Mr. Brown has devoted his practice primarily to civil litigation, including products liability, business, contractual and real estate disputes, complex litigation and matters including intellectual property. He has been a partner of the Firm since 1990 and served on its Partner Board since 1995.
Mr. Brown has been the lead trial attorney in numerous cases, including matters concerning banking negligence, fraud and spoliation of evidence. Mr. Brown has tried all varieties of personal injury claims involving both compensatory and punitive damages, products liability, including catastrophic injury, brain damage and death, as well as cases involving complex business, contractual and real estate disputes.
Mr. Brown was inducted into the International Association of Defense Counsel in October of 1997. He is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts. He has been a trial techniques instructor with the San Diego Inn of Court since 1989, instructing other attorneys in the techniques of direct and cross-examination of party and expert witnesses. He was the Treasurer and a Director of the San Diego Defense Lawyers from 1995-1996. He was a Director of the Barrister’s Club of San Diego from 1987-1989. He has lectured to numerous legal, consumer and trade associations on effective advocacy, and on the handling of civil litigation actions.
