Sarah T. Schaffer

Ms. Schaffer practices in Higgs Fletcher & Mack's family law group. She joined the firm after serving a year on active duty aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. While at Miramar, Ms. Schaffer worked in the Joint Legal Center assisting service members with family law, estate planning, and tax issues.

In 2001, Ms. Schaffer received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. Following passing the California bar, Ms. Schaffer worked as a tax consultant for Ernst & Young in San Francisco.

Ms. Schaffer completed her undergraduate work in 1994 with a major in Spanish and International Relations. After graduation, she was commissioned in the Marine Corps and spent five years on active duty serving as a logistics officer in Okinawa, Japan, and Virginia. She was designated a Marine Corps judge advocate in 2003 and is still active in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
