Mr. Ross is an associate who was recently named a 2009 nominee for the San Diego Daily Transcript’s “Young Attorneys” award, which annually recognizes the area’s most promising young associates. His practice focuses on health care litigation, including representation of physicians, hospitals, and outpatient surgery centers in malpractice and products liability lawsuits. Mr. Ross also has substantial experience in complex business, real estate and personal injury litigation.
Mr. Ross’ background spans both coasts. Growing up in Orange County, California, Mr. Ross graduated from Columbia University with a degree in history. During his time at Columbia, he earned Dean’s List honors, played varsity football, and served as Associate Sports Editor for the Columbia Daily Spectator.
Following graduation, Mr. Ross worked two years in New York City as a litigation paralegal for Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious law firms, where he gained invaluable experience participating in several complex actions on behalf of various Fortune 500 clients.
Mr. Ross received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was a member of the San Diego Law Review, earned his section’s Best Brief Award, and was named to the legal honors fraternity Phi Delta Phi. During that time Mr. Ross also served as a judicial extern to:
Mr. Ross’ legal practice has also involved managing administrative appeals for high school athletes challenging eligibility rulings by the California Interscholastic Federation (“C.I.F.”), including a successful appeal for a former All-State and San Diego County Player of the Year performer in basketball.
In his spare time, Mr. Ross enjoys reading, golfing, traveling, music and spending time with friends and family.
