Appeals and Writs

The Firm has a civil writs and appeals practice in all State and Federal courts of appeal. This practice involves strategic consultation with trial attorneys as early as possible in all phases of litigation, and assistance with interlocutory petitions for writs of mandate, significant trial briefs, and post-trial motions. Most importantly, this practice provides full and careful service with respect to all phases of civil appeals, including preparation of proper Notices of Appeal, research, participation in appellate settlement conferences and mediations, brief writing, and oral argument. Members of the Firm have also been involved in numerous important civil appeals in the California courts of appeal and in the California Supreme Court, and the Firm is a recognized leader in the appellate community in San Diego County.
