Higgs Fletcher & Mack's Construction Group provides a full-range of legal services to the region's construction industry. The Group's attorneys represent public and private owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals and insurers throughout the state on a wide variety of projects including schools, universities, power plants, research facilities, hospitals, water and wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, dams, convention centers, commercial and industrial buildings, transportation and aircraft facilities as well as commercial, single and multi-family residential projects.

The Construction Group attorneys experience includes resolution of payment problems (mechanic's liens, stop notices, Miller Act, etc.); bidding and bid protests; delay, disruption and acceleration problems; the drafting and negotiation of contracts; surety and insurance matters; as well as experienced advice on corporate, tax, employment, and other related business issues from the firm's practitioners.

The Group's attorneys practice before all Federal and State trial and appellate courts and are also experienced with binding contractual arbitration, such as that conducted under the Construction Industry Rules of the American Arbitration Association. Although experienced in litigation, the Group encourages the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution where appropriate, and is experienced in the preparation and conduct of construction mediations.
