Tim Konold became a partner at Higgs Fletcher & Mack in 1978. He held the position of Managing Partner and/or Chair of the Firm for over 10 years. His practice emphasizes real property, secured transactions, partnership and corporate law. Over the past several years, he has represented developers, investors, lenders, and borrowers in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions, loan originations, land use, master community developments, and joint ventures. He has assisted, both as an attorney and as a mediator/arbitrator, in resolution of real property and partnership disputes. He has acted as counsel in the formation of over 100 general and limited partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies. Having spent the first several years of practice in the litigation department, he also counsels clients in litigation strategies.

Mr. Konold has presented numerous seminars on real property related topics for CEB, PLI and similar organizations. He also lectures to realty boards, title insurance companies, escrow companies, and attorney organizations on real property law and practice management topics. Mr. Konold authors the California law chapter of the National Mortgage Law Summary, published by the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. He has qualified as an expert witness on real property matters in State and Federal courts.

Between 1981 and 1983, Mr. Konold served on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section of the California Bar Association. In 1987, he was inducted into the American College of Mortgage Attorneys where he has served as California Chair (1994-present); Regent (1992-1999); and National President (2001-2002).

Mr. Konold is the President of First San Diego Courthouse, Inc., a non-profit corporation owning and operating a museum in Old Town State Park to preserve the history of the first courthouse in San Diego. He is actively involved in various church and community organizations.
