Loren Freestone, a litigator for over 10 years, has worked on both sides of complex cases, aggressively assisting and prosecuting cases on behalf of plaintiffs, personally and for large corporations, with one case resulting in a multi-million dollar verdict for his client, and by vigorously defending private and public corporations, hospitals, physicians, and others in disputes through all aspects of litigation and trial. These disputes involved issues of employment, health care, contract, pharmaceutical, product defect, defamation, and Truth in Lending/Credit laws.
Mr. Freestone represents large and small corporations, health care practitioners and companies, farmers (his father was a farmer) and employers. He has also successfully argued cases at the Court of Appeal. In his relatively short tenure as an attorney, Mr. Freestone?s efforts have resulted in two published appellate decisions, Bennett v. Shahall (1999) 75 Cal.App.4th 384, and Palmer v. Superior Court (2002) 103 Cal.App.4th 953, both in favor of Higgs Fletcher & Mack clients.
Mr. Freestone received his bachelor degrees (two) from UCLA, and law degree from the University of San Diego. He was trained by the best in legal advocacy and civility. He was a judicial extern for Associate Justice Judith L. Haller of the Fourth District Court of Appeal, and as a new lawyer, was trained by then Higgs Fletcher & Mack partner, and now Judge, Honorable Gregory W. Pollack.
Mr. Freestone currently sits on the County Bar's Ethnic Relations and Diversity Committee, is a board member on one of the County Bar?s specialty committees, and as an avid surfer, has committed his time to maintaining the integrity of our beaches.
