Cory Brown joined Higgs Fletcher & Mack immediately after his graduation from Stanford University and UCLA Law School in 1984. He specializes in business and commercial litigation.
Mr. Brown represents Fortune 100® and 500® companies, including American Airlines®, The Coca-Cola Company®, Standex International®, SC Johnson & Sons®, RSM McGladrey®, and others. As a born and raised San Diegan, Mr. Brown also represents local individuals and businesses in commercial, real estate and other disputed matters. He has been the lead trial attorney in numerous cases including cases involving issues of negligence, fraud, spoliation of evidence, banking malfeasance and products liability. He has defended numerous personal injury claims involving both compensatory and punitive damages, as well as cases involving complex business, transactional and real estate disputes.
Although Mr. Brown has tried and arbitrated hundreds of lawsuits, he believes in the cost effective and efficient handling of litigation, which has resulted in favorable settlements for his clients in all types of litigation.
Mr. Brown is admitted to practice in both State and Federal Court and is rated “preeminent” (“AV”) in both legal ability and ethics by Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Brown was inducted into the International Association of Defense Counsel in 1997.
