Richard W. Sweat has joined the firm as a partner in the firm's corporate and business practice. Mr. Sweat concentrates his practice on business, corporate and real estate transactions, estate planning, and family ownership transitions for business. He represents corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, their owners and boards of directors. He was formerly a named partner with Post, Kirby, Noonan & Sweat (now known as Kirby Noonan Lance & Hoge).
Thomas W. Ferrell has joined the firm as a partner in the insurance and business practice groups. Mr. Ferrell specializes in civil trial litigation with an emphasis in business litigation, insurance coverage counseling and coverage litigation. He previously worked with the law firm of Baker & McKenzie, where he was a partner in the firm's San Diego office for 12 years.

Higgs Fletcher & Mack Partner Rick Barton Selected to Chair National Committee for the Anti-Defamation League
Rick Barton has been selected as chairman of the Anti-Defamation League's National Leadership Committee. His primary responsibilities in that role include leadership development and training, but Mr. Barton will also be responsible for serving as Chair of ADL's National Leadership Conference which is an annual conference held in Washington D.C. that features meetings and presentations from national and international government officials, diplomats, and journalists.
