Susan Mercure has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mission Valley YMCA.  As Chairman for the next two years, she will lead a 45-member Board responsible for delivering programs to 30,000 members and managing a budget of $17 million.

The Mission Valley YMCA offers hundreds of programs for all ages, and include pre school programs, after school programs, one of the largest day camps in the country that serves 1,100 children per day, three athletic facilities, three pools, a skate park, 400 work out classes, and programs for seniors.  Ms. Mercure has been involved with the Mission Valley Y since 1991 thanks to a strong interest in sports by her son, Alex, and has been on the Board in leadership positions for the past 11 years.
